The Southern Gulf Island Summer Cruise.

Well the cruise is over and everyone had a great time - some joined for just few days and other stayed the full course - but the weather stayed kind, the food and the company were good . Lots of pictures to give you a flavour of the trip and getting you thinking about joining next year.

Montague Harbour ( Galiano Is) there is a a bread boat anchored in the bay that bakes fresh bread each morning

The spectacular view from the top of the Bodega ridge - this was one of just two cloudy days but it was still worth the climb.

Sunday - Montegue Harbour

What is a repair boat doing here already ! Harald had a slipping fan belt and they came to fix it

 The mechanic at work - he took an hour to fix it but made no charge !! Remember that name !

Winter Cove Raft - 10 Power boats together - maybe not a Squadron record, but certainly one of the neatest and most secure.

A nail hammering contest - sorry to say none of the Capilano Gang managed to win - although we were represent in the Final !!
Boat Passage on the West side of the Cove with a small boat going though.
Party at winter Cove on Canada Day evening with Mark Woodside entertains us with his Guitar Roche Harbour on San Juan Island - big harbour with some very big boats. US Customs confiscated all our "Canadian" meat - beef and lamb !!!. Dinner at the "Duck Soup Inn" .just outside Roche Harbour - great food Could not all fit on one table !!!.
